BBC Look East report.

Citizens Advice - Mental Health Hub

Clacton-on-Sea

What Max had to say…..

“I wanted to share my experience working with Citizens Advice – Mental Health Hub and express my gratitude for the incredible impact they had on my life and they have on the community.

I worked at the Citizens Advice – Mental Health Hub for 12 months and during this time, they helped me to build my confidence and self-esteem and helped me become a better person along the way. The commitment they give to changing someone's life and the lives around them is truly amazing. Citizens Advice – Mental Health Hub became a beacon of hope in my time of need, providing support and guidance when I was at an all-time low. The dedication and commitment the staff show to looking after and changing the lives of the people around them is truly amazing. The staff create a supportive environment for the people around them and make the people feel safe when they require support.

I am proud to have been a part of Citizens Advice – Mental Health Hub and to have the opportunity to work alongside all the staff. I wholeheartedly recommend the Citizens Advice – Mental Health Hub in Clacton-on-Sea to anyone seeking to make a large and meaningful impact on the community.

Thank you to the entire team at Citizens Advice – Mental Health Hub for making me a better and more loving person and inspiring others to join the mission of making the world a better place.”

A Participant’s Story…..

“From the moment I walked into the shop I was made to feel welcome. I was feeling very low, anxious and I had completely lost confidence in myself but was made to feel at ease. I was explained the workings of the shop and reassured that I was under no pressure and that I could take things at my own pace.

All the staff have been very caring and patient with me and I have never felt put under pressure to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with. I have nearly finished my time here and I am confident to do everything that is required in the shop I have really enjoyed my time here and feel like part of the team.

I will be very sad to go. I can’t thank the staff enough for all the help and encouragement they have given me and I am hoping that the experience I have gained will help me get back into paid work.”
