Our Partners
At Citizens Advice Tendring we work with a range of partners. Our partnership work makes us a stronger, more efficient and more holistic service. Here are some examples of how our partnership work benefits the people of Tendring.
-
Our Mental Health Hub Funders
The Police, Crime & Fire Commissioner
Tendring District Council
Essex County Council
NEE Clinical Commissioning Group
Essex Community Foundation
These partners fund our Mental Health Hub which supports local people recovering from mental ill health to gain work skills, qualifications, confidence and a social network to support them back into mainstream work or volunteering. The service also provides participants in our mental health recovery programme with holistic advice to build resilience and the chance to take part in physical activities such as our allotment and cycling group to improve their general sense of wellbeing.
Other partners on this project.
Signpost, Cycle UK, Tendring CVST, Peabody, Help in Mind, Mind, African Families in the UK, Next Chapter, DWP Job Centre Plus, Digital Access Support Team (DAST) and many local charities who we refer our volunteers to on the next step of their recovery journey.

Our Advice Service Funders
Tendring District Council
MAPSDAP
Essex Citizens Advice
Essex Community Foundation
National Association of Citizens Advice
Macmillan
Our general advice service and advice projects are funded by the above partners who recognise the impact that getting good quality, holistic advice can have on the well being of individuals, families and the whole community. This might be by preventing someone from becoming homeless by ensuring they have the right benefits or helping them to manage their debts.
Partners support our advice.
For example by providing free premises for us to deliver our service in, or additional help and practical support to refer our clients to. These include: The Salvation Army foodbank, NEST, Barnardo's, The SOS Bus, The Baby Bank, The School Uniform Project, The Hygiene Project.

Our Small Projects Funding
CVS Tendring
Tesco
Asda
Morrisons
We deliver a range of small projects working in partnership with other local organisations.
For example, our Winter Resilience project, funded by CVST, provides warm clothes, bedding, and cooking facilities to enable people in crisis to keep warm during the winter months. This might be by providing microwaves, kettles and toasters to people setting up home after a period of homelessness so that they have access to warm food and drinks in their new homes. We have also provided bedding to people fleeing from domestic abuse with their children.
This project has also received support from local supermarkets who have donated free bedding and household items to supplement the grant and from the generous people of Tendring who donate items that also support this project.
CVST also funded a project to enable us to do some research about cervical screening in Tendring to understand the barriers and promote screening services.
