Essex Citizens Advice MacMillans Welfare Benefits Service

Providing a specialist welfare benefits advice service to help more people in Essex cope with the financial impact of a cancer diagnosis. We can help you:

- Understand and apply for welfare benefits.

- Challenge unfair or incorrect benefit decisions

- Apply for one-off Macmillan grants

- Discover other forms of financial help

- Access other services including energy and debt advice

The Jaywick Sands and District Energy Hub launched on Tuesday 27 August 2024.

The Energy Hub is here to help citizens of Jaywick Sands and surrounding areas get support for a range of services relating to energy including:

- Applications for government grants to improve the energy efficiency of their home, including the Energy Company Obligation (ECO4Flex), the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG2) and the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS).

- Home energy visits

- Benefit checks

- Food and fuel vouchers

- Energy advice

- Reducing bills

The Hub aims to help residents save energy and money on their energy bills.

The Energy Hub is operated in partnership with Tendring District Council and Citizens Advice Tendring.
