Scammers are sending fake text messages claiming to be from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), asking for personal and bank details. These messages are on the rise - activity has surged by over 150% recently.
Remember:
The government will never ask for bank details via text. Eligible payments are made automatically. Do not click on links or share personal information.
If you receive a suspicious message:
